
Mavericks Take First Back-To-Back Win at Home on Teddy Bear Toss Night

Independence, MO - The Missouri Mavericks stole a 2-1 regulation win over the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday night at Independence Events Center on Teddy Bear Toss night! The Mavs win marks their first back-to-back home victory of the season for Missouri.
After a scoreless first period, John-Scott Dickson opened up the scoreboard for the Missouri Mavericks only 1:44 into the second frame, assisted by teammates Sebastien Thinel and Steven Tarasuk. Dickson's goal puts him at a three-goal streak over the last two Missouri Mavericks games.
Leading 1-0 over Tulsa, forward Andrew Courtney expanded the Mavs advantage with an unassisted third period goal at 7:29, his fourth tally of the season, for a 2-0 Missouri game.
Mavs goaltender Maxime Lagace held the Tulsa Oilers off until the final minute of play, when Jon Booras netted a goal for the visiting team at 19:00 of the frame. TJ Caig and Kyle O'Kane were credited with assists on Booras' goal.
The Mavericks 2-1 victory marks their first back-to-back home victory of the 2014-15 season at Independence Events Center. John-Scott Dickson was awarded first start of the game for the second contest in a row.
The Missouri Mavericks want to thank all the fans that came out and participated in the Teddy Bear Toss game tonight! Thank you for helping the Mavs continue the tradition of collecting teddy bears to be donated to local children's charities throughout the Kansas City area.
The Mavs play their next game on the road tomorrow night against the Allen Americans at 4:05pm (CST). Missouri will return home to Independence Events Center on Tuesday night to face-off against the Brampton Beast for the first time this season at 7:05pm (CST).
