It Starts with One
Yesterday marked just the fourth time this season that the K-Wings held a lead after the opening 20 minutes. Kalamazoo is 3-1-0-0 when leading after the first period.
Lighting the Lamp
With two goals last night, forward Curtis Valk leads the K-Wings in goals scored with six. Remarkably, Valk did not score a single goal in the month of November.
Top of the Mountain
When it comes to scoring goals, no one in the K-Wings ECHL history has been better than Justin Taylor. Last night Taylor moved into first place in the team's ECHL history by notching his 70th goal in a K-Wings uniform.
Close Calls
The K-Wings have held their own in close games. Kalamazoo is 3-1-1-1 in games decided by a single goal.
Nearing Double Digits
Cincinnati's Byron Froese has been on a scoring tear. Froese enters tonight on a nine-game point streak.
Good Things Come in Threes Froese isn't the Cyclones player that is looking to extend a scoring streak. Forward Josh Shalla enters tonight on a three-game point streak.
Snapping a Streak Cincinnati hits the ice looking to snap two streaks. The Cyclones will be looking to end a three-game overall (0-1-0-2) winless streak and a three-game home (0-1-0-2) winless streak.
Working Overtime Cincinnati's last two games have been decided in shootouts (0-2). On the season, the Cyclones are 0-4 in games that end in shootouts.
