
ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions resulting from ECHL Game #821, Quad City at Rapid City, on Dec. 5.
Quad City's Paxton Leroux has been suspended for six games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions at 20:00 of the third period. Leroux was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #70.3 and is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline. Leroux will miss Quad City's games at Rapid City (Dec. 6), at Allen (Dec. 10), at Wichita (Dec. 12), at Tulsa (Dec. 13) and vs. Brampton (Dec. 17 and Dec. 20).
Quad City's Antti Pusa has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions at 20:00 of the third period. Pusa was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #46.9 and is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline. Pusa will miss Quad City's games at Rapid City (Dec. 6), at Allen (Dec. 10) and at Wichita (Dec. 12).
Rapid City's Jesse Schultz has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions at 20:00 of the third period. Schultz was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #46.9 of the third period and is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline. Schultz will miss Rapid City's games vs. Quad City (Dec. 6) and at Missouri (Dec. 12).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Additionally, the Rapid City and Quad City organizations have both been fined undisclosed amounts.
Colorado's Stewart fined, suspended
Colorado head coach Chris Stewart has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #199, Colorado at Ontario, on Dec 5.
Stewart was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 12:50 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Stewart will miss Colorado's game at Ontario tonight (Dec. 6).
