Lojek Reassigned to Everblades from AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Martin Lojek has been reassigned to the club from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Lojek returns to the Everblades lineup after being called up to the Americans on December 28. During his most recent call-up, Lojek skated in 11 games, scoring two points (1g, 1a). The 20-year-old was previously called up to Rochester on November 14, and played in one game with the Americans.

The native of the Czech Republic rejoins the Everblades having notched 10 points (2g, 8a) in 17 ECHL games. Lojek, a rookie, scored his first professional goal as an Everblade on November 11 at Gwinnett and collected his first professional point on November 4 vs. Augusta. Prior to turning pro, the former 4th round draft pick by the Florida Panthers in 2003, spent three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Brampton Battalion where he picked up 47 points in 201 games.

The Everblades return to action tonight when they host the Idaho Steelheads at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. Everblades half season, group tickets, and individual game tickets are on sale now!
