Lexington Legends News Release
The Lexington Legends rallied for a 7-4 win over West Virginia on Friday night. The win gives the Legends a one game edge over Hagerstown heading into the four game series with the Suns this weekend.
The Suns were beaten by Lake County, 4-3. The Legends lead Lake County by two games with eight games left in the season.
Ronnie Martinez (4-3) earned his fourth win of the year with six innings of work. Ronnie allowed three runs on six hits. Garret Murdy tossed three innings for his first save of the year.
Mitch Einertson had one his best night's of the season with three hits, including a run scoring double. Hunter Pence had a solid night with two hits and an RBI. Frankie Caraballo had two singles in five plate appearances.
The Legends return to Applebee's Park for a four game series with Hagerstown. Juan Gutierrez will square off against Jeff Landing. The first pitch is set for 7:05. The Progressive Direct pre-game show will kickoff Legends network coverage beginning at 6:50. A fireworks display scheduled for after the game thanks to ADI.
