
Hinton and Iribarren named to All-Star team

CHARLESTON, WV (June 10, 2005) â The West Virginia Power, Class A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers will be represented by two players at the 46th South Atlantic League All Star Game.
Today second baseman Hernan Iribarren and right-handed pitcher Robert Hinton were named to the South Atlantic League Northern Division All-Star team. The 46th Annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, June 28 in Augusta, Georgia.
Hernan Iribarren has enjoyed a tremendous season at second base thus far for the Power. Iribarren is hitting .311 on the season with 21 stolen bases, 31 runs scored and 26 RBI through 57 games. The Power have depended on Hinton, who has thrown 27 2/3 innings out of the bullpen with a record of 2-3, 3 saves and a 2.60 ERA in 20 appearances.
Iribarren was added to the All Star roster after utility player Pete Maestrales of Delmarva was traded to the Kansas City Royals organization.
The Power will conclude the four game series with the Lexington Legends at Appalachian Power Park tonight. Right-handed pitcher Josh Baker (1-3, 8.51) will throw for the Power and the Legends will counter with right-handed pitcher Ronnie Martinez (3-3, 5.43). The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
