Suns Lose to Captains 4-3

The Hagerstown Suns took a lead for the third straight game over the Lake County Captains, but watched it dissapear along with their claim to first place, falling 4-3.

Playing in just his second game this homestand, Carlos Gomez gave the Suns the lead with a 2 RBI single in the third inning.

Hagerstown also welcomed back Dante Brinkley who knocked in a single in his first action after 10 games on the disabled list.

The Captains have defeated the Suns 6 times this year out of the 8 times they have played. With the loss, the Suns fell a game behind the Lexington Legends who they play in a 4-game series in Lexington starting Saturday.

The Suns return home next Thursday for a Thirsty Thursday to close out the first half with a 4-game series against the West Virginia Power. Stop by or call the Suns offices for 301-791-6266.
