Las Vegas Hits The Road For Pacific Division Showdowns

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a 1-1-1 record this week. The Wranglers started the week with a 2-1 overtime loss at home to Fresno on Tuesday night. Friday night, Las Vegas bounced back with a 5-0 shutout of the Victoria Salmon Kings. Victoria rebounded with a 3-1 win over Las Vegas on Saturday.

Las Vegas will head to Bakersfield for a game on Friday night at 7:00 pm at Rabobank Arena. Saturday at 7:30 pm, the Wranglers will meet the Stockton Thunder at the Stockton Arena. The same two teams will meet again at 4:05 pm on Sunday in Stockton.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers were edged by the Fresno Falcons 2-1 in overtime on Tuesday night. Defenseman Tyler Kindle scored the game-winning goal just 2:41 into overtime, as Fresno defeated Las Vegas in the extra period for the third straight game. Falcons' goalie Jake Moreland stopped 35 of 36 Las Vegas shots for the victory. Las Vegas goalie Daniel Manzato stopped 24 of 26 Fresno shots in the loss. Defenseman Jason Jozsa scored the Wranglers only goal of the night.

Friday, January 11th

Victoria 0 at Las Vegas 5

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers shutout the Victoria Salmon Kings 5-0 on Friday night in front of 4,510 fans at the Orleans Arena. All-Star goalie Daniel Manzato stopped all 25 shots for his third shutout of the season. Center Chris Ferraro had three assists, while twin brother Peter Ferraro scored twice. Forwards Kelly Czuy, Tyler Mosienko and Shawn Limpright each scored in the Las Vegas victory. Victoria's All-Star goalie Julien Ellis stopped 42 of the 47 Las Vegas shots.

Saturday, January 12th

Victoria 3 at Las Vegas 1

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Victoria Salmon Kings 3-1 on Friday night in front of 4,713 fans at the Orleans Arena. Victoria center Kiel McLeod scored the game-winning goal and added an assist. All-Star goalie Julien Ellis stopped 32 of 33 Las Vegas shots for his 14th victory of the season. Forward Josh Sciba scored the only Las Vegas goal. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Lalande stopped 20 of 23 Victoria shots, suffering his first regulation loss of the season.

Wranglers Roster Shuffled Again, Lalande Returns

Defenseman Tyson Strachan remains in the American Hockey League with the Peoria Rivermen. Left wing Ryan Donally and defenseman Gerry Burke both remain in the AHL with Quad City. Rookie center Curtis Fraser remains with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage

Defenseman Aaron Power has missed the last five games with an injury but, could play this weekend on the road. Forwards Bruce Mulherin (LW) and Marco Peluso (LW) have both been skating with the team for the last week and could return this weekend. Justin Donati (C) and Mike McBain (D) each remain on the injured reserve list. McBain nor Donati is expected to return this season. Josh Sciba and Peter Ferraro each suffered injuries in Saturday night's loss to Victoria. Neither is expected to see action this weekend.
