
Ice Pilots Fall to Everblades 5-2

ESTERO, FL -The Florida Everblades got goals from six different goal scorers as the Florida Everblades defeated the Ice Pilots 5-2 at Germain Arena.
Preston Callander put the Everblades on the board at 2:48 of the first period and then Brandon Roach fired a power play goal from the top of the left wing circle to put Florida up 2-0 after the first period.
Erik Fabian put Pensacola on the board with his second power play goal in as many games and the Pilots cut the lead to 2-1. Ernie Hartlieb answered just 14 seconds later to increase the lead back to two, 3-1.
In the third period, the Everblades added a goal from Brad Herauf on the left wing side but again the Pilots cut the lead with Mathieu Roy's second goal in as many games. This one came on the power play as well. The Everblades added some insurance as Derek Damon beat Cam Ellsworth and the Everblades went on for the 5-2 win.
The Ice Pilots went 2 for 7 on the power play while the Everblades 2 for 8.
The Ice Pilots now return home to take on the Everblades in the second of the home and home and will have three out of their next four at home.
