Kinasewich, Mole, Haskins Return From Bridgeport
January 8, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that forwards Ryan Kinasewich and Tyler Haskins along with goaltender Mike Mole have returned to the team from their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport.
The Grizzlies are a proud affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Kinasewich, the Grizzlies all-time leading scorer in the ECHL, returns to Utah after spending 22 games with Bridgeport where he tallied three goals and two assists. Prior to his promotion on November 3, the 24-year-old had five goals and two assists in seven games with the Grizzlies. He also led the ECHL in shots on goal at the time of his promotion.
In 111 all-time regular season games with Utah, Kinasewich has totaled 73 goals and 78 assists for 151 points. His 151 points makes him Utah's fifth all-time leading scorer. His 1.36 point-per-game average is second only to former NHL forward Kip Miller (1.41 points per game in 143 games) as the Grizzlies all-time point-per-game player.
Haskins, a 21-year-old rookie, advanced to Bridgeport December 14 and played 10 games with the Sound Tigers. With Utah, the former Detroit Red Wings draft pick (round 5, #162 overall 2004 NHL Entry Draft) had 17 points (two goals, 15 assists) in 20 games. The Ohio native attended training camp this past fall with the Islanders.
Mole was recalled to Bridgeport for a second time this year December 28 following an injury to Islanders goaltender Rick DiPietro and the promotion of Sound Tigers goaltender Joey MacDonald to New York. This season with Utah, the third-year pro has a record of 9-6-0-2. He signed a contract with the Islanders in the fall of 2006.
The Utah Grizzlies complete their seven-game road trip Wednesday in Idaho at 7:10 p.m. The Grizzlies return to the E-Center Friday and Saturday hosting Idaho to open a six-game home stand. All Utah home games start at 7:05 p.m.
