Fresno Falcons News Release
Las Vegas, Nevada - Tyler Kindle scored 2:41 into overtime to give the Fresno Falcons a three-game sweep of the Las Vegas Wranglers with a 2-1 win on Tuesday at Orleans Arena.
All three of Fresno's win in the series came in overtime.
For the third straight game, Las Vegas got on the scoreboard first, getting a power-play goal from Brandon Kaleniecki at the 11:30 mark of the first period. Mike Madill kept a Falcons' clearing attempt in at the right point, and moved the puck to Jason Josza on the left-wing side. Josza's long shot was deflected by Kaleniecki for his 11th goal of the season.
The Falcons pulled even with a 5-on-3 power-play goal at 16:54. Kindle found Jarrett Konkle open in the right-wing circle, and he one timed a shot past goaltender Daniel Manzato for his 15th of the year.
That was all the scoring until Kindle's overtime heroics. He skated into the left-wing circle of the Wranglers zone, and beat Manzato high to the glove side for his fourth goal of the year.
The Falcons return to home ice on Friday, hosting the Phoenix RoadRunners at 7:30 p.m. The first 3,000 fans in attendance receive a Falcons' t-shirt, courtesy of Visalia Ceramic and Tile and 104.1 FM. The Falcons will also be wearing special purple jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Tickets for all Falcons' home games can be purchased at the Save Mart Center Box Office, or through TicketMaster at (559) 485-TIXS or www.ticketmaster.com. All Falcons games air on 790 ESPN Radio, The Deuce, starting with the Port of Subs Pre-Game Show 15 minutes prior to face off.
