Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that organization has signed defenseman Trevor Wolfe. A third year pro from Toledo, Ohio, Wolfe (6'2"/200) (27) , started this season with the Wooster Warriors of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League, where he scored six goals and assisted on twenty-five others (thirty-one points) and picked up twenty penalty minutes in eighteen games. On December 28, 2007, Wolfe, who played nineteen games with the Trenton (then-) Titans of the ECHL last year, joined the Elmira Jackals and played four games prior to being released. The Royals acquired Wolfe's rights through a waiver claim last weekend. In separate transactions, the Royals also placed defenseman Victor Uchevatov on the 3-Day Injured Reserve and moved forward Joe Zappala to the 7-Day IR and forward Patrick Jarrett to the 30-Day IR.

The Royals return home on Friday night against the Wheeling Nailers when the organization will host Teacher Appreciation Night and the first 1500 fans will receive an 'R-Team/R-Town' note cube. The game night broadcast tonight will kick off with the pre-game warm up show at 6:30 pm on ESPN Radio 1240 in Ephrata, as well as on the internet through the Royals website (www.royalshockey.com).
