Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI-For many years the Admirals have entertained fans with pre- and post-game concerts that are free with their ticket to the game. This weekend, the team will do something that that they have never done before. Instead of just one major act, the Admirals will have two national recording artists perform prior to Saturday night's 7:30 pm game with the Peoria Rivermen.

It all stars at 5:00 pm when Emerson Drive will perform for approximately 50 minutes before The Wreckers hit the stage at 6:00 pm. Following the two shows, the Admirals will do battle with the Rivermen at 7:30 pm, as was originally scheduled. Doors to the Bradley Center will open at 4:30 pm.

The Wreckers, a duo composed of Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp, saw their first record "Stand Still, Look Pretty" certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and the album made it to number four on the Billboard Top Country Albums and number 14 on the Billboard Top 200. Their lead single on the album, Leave the Pieces, made it all the way to number one on the Hot Country Chart.

The Wreckers, who recently performed at the NHL's All-Star festivities, hit it big when their single The Good Kind was featured on the TV show One Tree Hill. In February 2005 they embarked on a nation-wide One Tree Hill Tour along with Gavin DeGraw, Tyler Hilton, and Bethany Loy Lenz. The duo, who performed at the 2006 Final Four and on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, were nominated for vocal duo of the year at the 40th Annual CMA Awards in early November.

Emerson Drive received the 2002 Billboard Music Award for New Country Artist of the Year and two of their hits from their self-titled first album, I Should Be Sleeping and Fall Into Me have both cracked the Top Five on the Country Music Charts. A Good Man, the first released track off their most recent album, "Countrified" currently sits at number 18 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Top 25.

The band was started in Grand Prairie, Alberta, the same hometown as former Admirals' Goaltender Scott Reid, and was selected as the Canadian Country Music Association's Group of the Year for two consecutive years. In 2004 they released their second album entitle "What If?" and saw a pair of songs crack the charts in the Top 50.

The performance by Emerson Drive and The Wreckers is the first of two country music concert that the Admirals will host for their fans this season. Joe Nichols, who has earned multiply Grammy Nominations, will appear after the Ads game on February 16th versus Peoria as part of Miller Lite/FM 106 Country Music Night.

For tickets, fans can call Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or log on to www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more receive at least $2 off each ticket. For group information fans can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
