Manitoba Moose News Release

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled defenceman Yannick Tremblay.

Tremblay, 31, has appeared in 17 games with the Moose this season, where he's scored eight goals and nine assists for 17 points and 22 penalty minutes. He leads all Moose defencemen in points so far this season and currently sits eighth on the team leaderboard. Tremblay was recalled by the Canucks earlier this season, where he played seven games with Manitoba's parent club from Dec. 6 - 28/06. In that time, Tremblay tallied one goal, two assists, and eight penalty minutes. Tremblay has played 385 NHL games in his career, recording 38 goals, 87 assists (37-85-125) and 174 penalty minutes. In 2003-04, Tremblay played for the Atlanta Thrashers recording 10 points (2-8-10) and 13 penalty minutes in 38 games played. The defenceman played a total of five years with the Thrashers and prior to that was a member of the Toronto Maples Leafs for three seasons.

Tremblay was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs 145th overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
