Boise, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads (31-26-4-9) defeated the Utah Grizzlies (32-31-4-3) 7-2 Wednesday night in Boise.
The Steelheads took control with four goals in the first 7:20 of the contest in a span of 4:42. Utah made it 4-1 on a Hugo Carpentier (15) goal and 5-2 on a Ryley Grantham (4) goal to finish the first period.
Idaho added a power-play tally in the second and third period to finish the scoring. The Steelheads scored four goals, including their final three on the power-play.
The Grizzlies return to Maverik Center to complete the regular season Friday and Saturday for Fan Appreciation Weekend. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
