Road Warriors Want to Quench Your Thirst
March 30, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors are hosting their final Dollar Drink Thursday of the season tomorrow night when they face off against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 at the BI-LO Center. You'll want to arrive at the arena early for two reasons; one to avoid lines at the box office and two to be there to catch a free pre-game concert from the Piedmont Boys. The popular local recording artists will start their set at 6:00 p.m. when the doors open and play until the drop of the puck as well as at intermissions. The stage will be set up on the arena concourse behind Section 106. During the Piedmont Boys performance, and throughout the evening, fans can quench their thirst with select draught beers and fountain drinks on sale for just $1. The Road Warriors are also offering up specials to college students tomorrow night. Present a college ID and get a ticket as low as $7! All the colleges of the Upstate are welcomed out this night to take advantage of our college discount and dollar drinks. The first 500 through the door gets a free koozie!
On the ice the Road Warriors will battle Gwinnett for the first time since beating them 7-1 on February 22 at the BI-LO Center. The South Division champion Road Warriors are looking to win their eighth game of the season against the Gladiators and remain in the top spot on the Eastern Conference. Gwinnett comes into the game with wins in just three of its last 10 games while the Road Warriors have won seven of their last 10. Thursday's is the first of three games this week between Greenville and Gwinnett leading up to Friday in Gwinnett and Saturday's regular season finale at the BI-LO Center. The Road Warriors then embark on the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs with their first home game on Friday, April 8 at 7:35 p.m.
Fans coming to tomorrow night's game are encouraged to visit the table located by the Road Warriors Team Store and register to win one of the prizes that will be given away on Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 2. The grand prize giveaway will be one season ticket to the 2011-12 Road Warriors season! Group tickets for 10 or more people are available for tomorrow, as well. Groups get discounts off of the box office price, preferred seating based on availability and other great benefits. Call 864-674-PUCK to talk to a Road Warriors representative about a group outing.
