Bakersfield Condors News Release
LAS VEGAS, Nevada - The Bakersfield Condors (40-26-2-1, 83pts) dropped a penalty-filled game 5-2 to the Las Vegas Wranglers (37-27-3-2, 79pts) in front of 2,909 fans at Orleans Arena Tuesday night. The Condors still lead Las Vegas by four points and Stockton by one point in the Pacific Division.
RW Bobby Robins gave the Condors the 1-0 lead 13:32 into the first period, when he faked a shot from the slot and tucked a backhand past G Michael Ouzas. The Wranglers countered with a 5-on-3 goal from C Tyler Mosienko and and even strength marker from LW Blair Riley to take a 2-1 lead into the second frame. The Wranglers had a 5-1 power play advantage after the first.
The game remained at 2-1 in the second period, as once again the Condors found themselves shorthanded for a good portion of the frame. After two periods, the Wranglers had completed 8 power play chances compared to just two for Bakersfield. The Condors tied the game less than three minutes into the third, when C Adam Naglich found a rebound and pushed a shot shot home to even the score at 2-2. Mosienko picked up his second goal of the night, once again on the power play, granting the Wranglers a 3-2 lead. F Rob Smith scored less than 30 seconds later, and Riley got his second on an empty net to sink the Condors 5-2. Click here for the box score. I8SUUHtk5Si0KA=] Notes:
