Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
Last Weeks Highlights:
1/21/06 > Long Beach 2 vs. San Diego 3 (OT)
Going for their fifth win in a row, the Ice Dogs fell short in overtime to the San Diego Gulls Saturday night. Despite holding leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals by David Walker and Mike Woodford, the Gulls prevailed with 38 seconds to play in overtime. Long Beach earned a point, keeping them in sole possession of second place in the Pacific Division. Greg Hewitt made 15 saves in the loss and the team went 1-6 on the power play while stopping all of San Diego's man advantages.
1/22/06 > Long Beach 2 vs. Victoria 0
The Ice Dogs improved to 12-0-0 all time versus the Salmon Kings, defeating them 2-0 on Sunday night. Cory Urquhart and Christian Larrivee scored to give Long Beach an important win heading into the All-Star break. Jaroslav Halak earned his second shutout of the year making 25 saves. The Ice Dogs are now unbeaten in regulation in their last six games (5-0-1). They went 0-2 on the power play but were perfect on the penalty kill going 4-4.

1/27/06 > Long Beach @ Fresno
The Ice Dogs will resume the season after the all-star break in Fresno Friday night. The Falcons currently sit atop the Pacific Division with an 11 point lead over Long Beach. The Ice Dogs are 0-1-1 versus the Falcons so far this season.
1/28/06 > Long Beach @ Stockton
The Ice Dogs will make their first and only trip of the season to Stockton on Saturday in the first of a two game series between the two teams. The only game played between the Ice Dogs and Thunder resulted in a 4-3 shootout victory for Long Beach back on October 29th.
1/29/06 > Long Beach @ Stockton
The Ice Dogs and Thunder will face-off again in the second game of a two game series. The game will also be the final of a three game road trip for Long Beach.
