Salmon Kings Wingman Lanny Gare opened up the flood gates just 45 seconds into the second period. Goaltender Rob McVicar was dealt his seventh loss of the season, while Munce earned his 12th win. Victoria was 0-5 on the powerplay while the Condors were 2-5. David Currie covered the crease for the Salmon Kings and held the Ice Dogs scoreless in the first period. At 1:34 into the second period, the Ice Dogs Cory Urquhart lit the lamp, and with 3:47 remaining in the period, Christian Larrivee got his 15th goal of the season to put Long Beach ahead 2-0. Currie took the loss while Jaroslav Halak earned the win. Victoria finished 0-4 on the powerplay while the Ice Dogs missed on both opportunities with the man advantage.
