The Lynx will take on the Alaska Aces for the first time ever when the two teams meet this weekend. The Aces are tied with Las Vegas for the most home wins in the ECHL with 17, carrying a 17-2-1 record at home this year and sitting 30-6-3 overall. Barrett Heisten (18-29-47), Alex Leavitt (10-36-46), and Mike Scott (15-29-44) have all broken the 40-point barrier already this season. In net, Chris Beckford-Tseu has just been recalled for his second NHL stint this year with the St. Louis Blues, leaving the starting duties to Matt Underhill. Underhill has gone 17-5-1 with a 2.12 GAA and a .920 save percentage this year, plus has three shutouts to his credit. The two games in Alaska will also mark Augusta's first two games outside their division this season.

Friday, January 20 - Augusta 1 @ South Carolina 2

Marty Clapton and Brian Passmore traded power play goals for their respective teams through two periods of play, but it was Brad Parsons' goal at 10:01 of the third period that proved to be the game winner. All three goals were scored off rebounds in the contest, with Jason Wolfe making 23 saves in the loss.

Saturday, January 21 - Augusta 5 @ Florida

Four goals in the opening frame rocketed the Lynx to an insurmountable lead as they handed the Florida Everblades just their third home loss of the year 5-1 in front of 6,885 disappointed fans on Saturday night. Doug Wright opened the scoring, followed by a Ryan Lang goal to make it 2-0. Anthony Battaglia notched a pair of goals before the break to put the Lynx ahead 4-0 after 20 minutes of play. Florida did pressure the Lynx in the second period, but managed only a Brandon Coalter goal before Augusta notched a shorthanded goal from Jeff Mason in the third to cement the win. Jason Wolfe made 24 saves in the win.

Coach's Show Tonight!

The Behind the Bench Coach's Show will air live tonight from the Wild Wing Café starting at 7 pm. Broadcast on NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630 as well as on the web via www.sportsjuice.com, it's your chance to call in with questions or check out the team in person every Monday night!

ECHL All-Star Game This Wednesday

Brian Passmore will represent the Augusta Lynx in Fresno, Calif. as the ECHL All-Star Game presented by Bud Light faces off on Wednesday night at 10 pm EST. The contest will be televised live in the CSRA on OLN, and will also be carried by WBEK Channel 16 and joined in progress live following college basketball action. WBEK can be found on Comcast Digital Cable Channel 103, and on channel 96 for Knology, Charter, and G-Force customers. Also, WBEK will replay the game in its entirety on Saturday, January 28th beginning at 8 pm.

Kyle Schultz Memorial Patches Now Available

As a way to help commemorate the life of former Lynx radio voice Kyle Schultz, memorial patches will be available through the team office by contacting Bill Lesshafft at (706) 724-4423, x. 11. Patches are $5 each and all proceeds to go the education fund set up for Kyle's son Tanner. A limited number of 500 patches are available, and they will also be sold at Lynx games and at the Behind the Bench Coach's Show at Wild Wing Café, starting Monday, November 21st.
