Boutin Starting in All-Star Game

Johnstown, PA (January 23, 2006) - Johnstown Chiefs goaltender Jonathan Boutin has been named starting goaltender for the American conference squad in the 2005-06 ECHL All-Star game.

Boutin, 20, is among the league leaders with a .920 save percentage, 2.93 goals against average and two shutouts.

This is Boutin's first professional season. The 6'2, 210-pound native of St-Joachim-de-Sheffo, Quebec was a third round selection (#96 overall) of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2003.

Boutin was named the starter when Cody Rudkowsky (Reading Royals) was injured during an AHL contest. Jeff Glass, of the Charlotte Checkers, will take Rudkowsky's spot on the American Conference roster.

The Johnstown Chiefs 2005-06 season presented by First National Bank resumes Friday night, as the Chiefs travel to Dayton. The Puck drops at 7:00p.m., you can hear all the action on the Chiefs radio network (850-AM & 990-AM), on johnstownchiefs.com and on the B2Networks, beginning at 6:45.
