Royals Notes:

v The Royals went 1-2-0 in the three games played this past week. Reading's record is now 24-11-2=50, which places the Royals in second place in the North Division of the American Conference and translates into a .676 win percentage-which is the eighth best win percentage in the league.

v The Royals suffered losses in the first two games played this week (5-1 @ Johnstown on Wednesday; and 6-4 v. Wheeling on Friday), extending the team's losing streak to a season high three games, a streak which was snapped on Saturday in the 7-2 win over Johnstown.

v Reading's 5-1 loss to the Johnstown Chiefs marked the first time this season that the Royals were defeated by the Chiefs in five games-all five of which had been played to that point at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown.

- The four goal margin of loss suffered by the Royals in Johnstown last Wednesday tied the largest margin of defeat suffered by the Royals this season. (Reading lost to the Wheeling Nailers by a 5-1 score on January 10.)

- The Royals avenged last Wednesday's loss to Johnstown by defeating the Chiefs 7-2 on Saturday night, tying Reading's largest margin of victory (5 goals) this season. (Reading has defeated the opposition by five goals on four separate occasions this season-including another 7-2 win over Johnstown on December 9).

v Wednesday's 5-1 loss to Johnstown marked only the fourth time this season that Reading's offense has been held to one goal or less.

- The seven goals scored by Reading on Saturday in the win over Johnstown tied the team's season high for goals in a single game this season. The Royals have scored seven goals in three separate games this season.

- Over the course of the season, Reading has scored 146 goals in the 37 games, a 3.95 goals per game average, which is third in the ECHL in that category.

v The Royals' lone goal last Wednesday was scored by Doug Christiansen at the 6:18 mark of the second period, to make the score 3-1, Johnstown.

- Although Christiansen was held off the scoreboard in Friday's 6-4 loss to Wheeling, he scored two goals and assisted on two others in Reading's 7-2 win over the Chiefs on Saturday, marking his first four point performance (and his tenth multi-point game) of the season for the Royals.

- On Friday night, the Royals pk gave up two goals to the Wheeling Nailers in the seven power play chances they had.
