Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans came into the weekend of play on a season-high three-game losing streak, but were able to quickly reverse their fortunes by defeating the Dayton Bombers in both games this weekend at Sovereign Bank Arena.

On Friday, Tim Konsorada's power play goal in the first period and Mike Ayers stellar goaltending allowed the Bombers to take a 1-0 lead into the third frame. The Titans would mount yet another third-period comeback when Scott Bertoli knotted the score 3:13 into the stanza. Chris Pittman added the game-winner midway through the third and Dustin Traylen made 17 saves for a 2-1 Titans win.

The following night at SBA the Titans jumped out 2-0 lead in the first period as Mathieu Brunelle lit the lamp and then assisted on Brian McConnell 's goal on the man advantage. The Bombers quickly erased the deficit when Matt Herneisen and Jeremy Van Hoof each scored goals in a span of thirty-four seconds to make the score 2-2 at the beginning of the second. Trenton would retake control of the match with four-unanswered goals and ran away for an 8-3 victory.
