Magliarditi named to All-Star Team

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that goaltender Marc Magliarditi has been selected by the ECHL to play for the National Conference All-Star Team at the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game in Fresno this Wednesday at 7:05 pm.

Magliarditi will play in his first ever All-Star Game by replacing teammate Mike McKenna who was loaned to Norfolk of the AHL on Sunday. Magliarditi was selected to the all-star team during the 1999-2000 season while playing with the Florida Everblades, but was unable to play because he was on recall with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the IHL. The Wranglers goaltender is the ECHL's all-time shutouts leader with 25. Magliarditi is third all-time in the ECHL with 198 career wins. The 29-year old needs four wins to pass Daniel Berthiaume for second on the all-time list. This season, Magliarditi leads the ECHL with 18 wins and is third in the league with a 2.19 goals against average. In his ninth professional season, the Niagara Falls, NY native is the Las Vegas Wranglers all-time leader in wins, saves, and minutes played. On October 23, 2003 Magliarditi recorded the first ever win for the Las Vegas Wranglers. Magliarditi recorded the first Las Vegas shutout over the Fresno Falcons on February 29th, 2004.

Las Vegas continues their seven-game road trip after the All-Star Game, with stops in Idaho, Long Beach, and Bakersfield. The Wranglers will return to home ice on Tuesday, February 7th in a showdown with Alaska. The All-Star Skills Competition is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24th at 7:00 pm at Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA. The 2006 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Bud Light, will take place Wednesday, January 25th at 7:00 pm at Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA.

Tickets for all games are on sale now. Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations: The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast, South Coast and Suncoast, or at the Galleria Mall guest relations/ticket centers.
