Cougars Make Two Selections in Round 8

Prince George, B.C. - With two picks early in the eighth round of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft, the Prince George Cougars have selected forward Logan Mazerolle (155th Overall) and defenceman Joel Patsey (159th Overall).

Mazzerole (5'11", 163 pounds) is a center from Grand Prairie, AB who scored 19 goals and 40 points with the Grand Prairie Storm. He added 60 penalty minutes.

Patsey (6'1", 175 pounds) is a defenceman from Hazelton, B.C.

With the selections of Mazzerole and Patsey, the Cougars have now drafted four forwards and four defencemen. Mazzerole is the third Alberta-born player selected today by the Cougars, but is the first Alberta-born forward.

Patsey is the fourth player drafted out of B.C. today by the Cougars but is the first B.C. born defenceman selected. Patsey also joins Justin Almeida as being one of two Northern B.C. players to be drafted today by the Cougars.
