Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas, NV - The Calgary Flames General Manager and Head Coach Darryl Sutter announced today the acquisition of forward Kristian Huselius from the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Steve Montador and forward Dustin Johner. In a separate move, the Wranglers announced left wing Charles Linglet has been loaned to Las Vegas by the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.

Left Wing Charles Linglet was originally acquired as the future consideration for a March 22nd trade that sent Wranglers defenseman Ryan Gaucher to the Alaska Aces for forward Jordan Cameron and Linglet. Linglet started the season in Peoria with the Rivermen scoring four goals and adding four assists for eight points in nine games played. The 22-year old left wing helped the Aces win the West Division and a trip to the Conference Finals this past season. Linglet was third on the team in scoring behind Scott Gomez and Chris Minard. The Montreal native posted career-highs for goals (28) and points (62) in 72 games played. Linglet finished second on the team with 13 power-play goals. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound left wing represented Alaska as a rookie in the 2004 ECHL All Star Game. For his career, Linglet has scored 52 goals and added 73 assists for 125 points in 150 games played. Linglet had a strong playoff performance this past season, leading the Aces in scoring with six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 15 games played. Linglet has 23 points (8G-15A) in 22 career playoff games.

Johner played nine games for Las Vegas this season posting two goals and two assists for four points. The second-year right wing set the team record for most goals in one season during the 2004-05 season with 22 in 51 games played. Johner also spent time in Omaha this season of the AHL, playing five games without a point. The Florida Panthers originally drafted Johner in the sixth round (#169 overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. The Panthers use the Florida Everblades as their ECHL affiliate.
