Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that forward Matt Turek has been suspended for leaving the team to play in Italy and forward Jan Steber has been placed on the seven day injured reserve list.
Turek has played in 16 games with the Ice Pilots this season scoring 4 goals, 2 assists for 6 points picking up 12 penalty minutes. Steber has played in 11 games with the Ice Pilots scoring 1 goal, 3 assists for 4 points picking up 2 penalty minutes.
The Pensacola Ice Pilots will host the Bakersfield Condors tonight at 7:05 p.m., Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots recently went 3-1-1 on a five game road trip to improve their record to 6-8-2 for 14 points. Bakersfield has a record of 6-5-4 for 16 points. This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.
