Bernier Returns To Manchester

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned goaltender Jonathan Bernier to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Bernier, 21, has played in three games with the Kings this season, recording a 3-0-0 record, a 1.30 goals-against-average and a .957 save percentage. During the Kings-Nashville game on March 30, he posted his first career shutout as he became the youngest goalie in Kings history to post a shutout.

Bernier last night earned the victory in the Kings' 8-3 win against Vancouver and earlier in the day he was named to the AHL's First Team All-Star squad as he has played in 56 games with the Monarchs this year, recording a 29-20-6 record, a 2.07 goals-against-average, a .936 save percentage and eight shutouts.
