
Heat Make Roster Moves

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. - The Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League have today announced the following transactions:
The Heat has released F Jon Rheault from his PTO. Rheault, 24, appeared in two games for the Heat, both versus the Manitoba Moose this past week. Rheault scored the opening goal in a 2-1 victory over the Moose on Tuesday night.
The Heat has signed F John Lammers to a PTO. Lammers, 24, appeared in 42 games for Manitoba and Providence in the AHL this year, as well as 25 games in the ECHL with the Alaska Aces. Lammers, from Langley BC, has scored eight goals and nine assists for seventeen points in 42 AHL games this season.
The Heat has signed D Christopher Breen to an ATO. Breen, 20, from Uxbridge ON, has spent his last five seasons playing his junior hockey in the OHL with Saginaw, Erie and Peterborough. This season in Erie and Peterborough, Breen scored four goals and added 10 assists in 65 games played. Breen also played four playoff games with the Petes, scoring once.
The Heat has signed F Mitch Wahl to an ATO. Wahl, 20, has spent his last four full season with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League. Wahl, from Seal Beach, CA, led the Chiefs in scoring this past season with 30 goals, sixty six assists and 96 points. Wahl also scored four goals and nine assists in seven playoff games for Spokane in their first round series with the Portland WinterHawks. Wahl was a key member of the Chiefs 2008 Memorial Cup Championship. Wahl is a second round selection of the Calgary Flames (48th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
