Columbus Assigns Center Trevor Frischmon

Syracuse, NY (April 2, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Trevor Frischmon.

Frischmon, 28, has appeared in 71 games for the Crunch this season, contributing six goals, 18 assists and 28 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in three games with Columbus this season and made his NHL debut on March 28 at Chicago. Frischmon currently ranks sixth on the Syracuse's all-time list in games played (243), recording 16 goals, 56 assists and 133 penalty minutes in those contests.

Prior to joining the Crunch, Frischmon spent four years at Colorado College (WCHA) from 2002-06, where he was a three-time member of the WCHA All-Academic Team and tallied 30 goals, 36 assists and 121 penalty minutes in 160 career games. A native of Ham Lake, Minnesota, Frischmon was signed by Columbus as a free agent on July 3, 2009.

The Crunch travel to Adirondack on Friday, April 2 and Hershey on Saturday, April 3 before returning home to battle Hershey again on Tuesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
