
Annual Teddy Bear Toss set for this weekend

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have announced that the annual "TEDDY BEAR TOSS" is scheduled for Saturday night when the Grrrowl return to the BI-LO Center following a five-game west coast road trip.
Greenville will host the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05pm on December 18th. All stuffed toys that are tossed onto the ice when the Grrrowl score their first goal, will be donated to the "Toys for Tots" program, and will be gathered and transported by the U.S. Marines. Fans are asked to bring stuffed toys to participate, and the Greenville Grrrowl Booster Club will also be selling Teddy Bears for those fans who want to purchase toys at the game. Please visit the Booster Club table on the concourse at section 120.
- The first 1,000 fans that enter the building on Saturday night will receive a Grrrowl cap, compliments of Pepsi.
- Saturday will also feature Mascot Broomball with appearances by mascots from BI-LO, Toys âR Us, Little Caesars Pizza, the Spartanburg Stingers Baseball team, B93.7, and others.
- The Grrrowl Soundstage will feature "Jukebox 45" - live on the concourse prior to the game, as well as both intermissions.
- The National Anthem will be performed by Gateway Elementary Chorus
- The Prudential C. Dan Joyner "Follow the Leader" ceremonial puck drop will be handled by Mr. Roy G. Coker, US Air Force Master Sergeant â Retired
The Grrrowl will complete a 5-game west coast road trip with a game in Las Vegas against the Wrangles on Tuesday (12/14) night. Greenville has split the first four games of the road trip with wins over Fresno and Bakersfield, and losses to Long Beach and Fresno.
