Rivermen to Visit Child Life Department at OSF - St. Francis Medical Center Tomorrow

Peoria, Ill. (December 13, 2004) – Team Captain Trevor Baker of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the team will visit the Child Life Department of the Children's Hospital of Illinois at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center two more times this season – Tomorrow – Tuesday, December 14; and Tuesday, February 8 – at 1:30 p.m. on each occasion.

The entire Rivermen team and coaching staff will interact with and sign autographs for the pediatric patients. In addition, during their February 8 visit, the Rivermen will help the pediatric patients create Valentine's in the Child Life Department Activities Room as they did last year.

The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL – The Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Rivermen host the archrival Toledo Storm on Friday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Carver Arena. It is a Finally Friday, presented by 99X and Insight Media. Fans are encouraged to bring a Sprite/Barq's Root Beer/Pibb Xtra can to the Carver Arena Box Office to receive a "Buy One, Get One Upper Bowl Ticket Free" offer. WWE "RAW" Superstar and St. Louis native Randy Orton will appear from 6:30-8:30 p.m., signing autographs for $5 each (includes an 8x10). The U.S. Marines will also host their annual "Toys for Tots" Holiday Drive. Fans are encouraged to bring a new toy for charity. The team will wear special Christmas-themed jerseys to be auctioned off after the game.
