
Rivermen to Appear at Grand Opening of Old Chicago at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie Tonight

Peoria, Ill. (December 13, 2004) â Director of Ticket Sales Wendy Mitchell of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that Team Captain Trevor Baker, left wings Scott Turner and Justin Maiser, and defenseman Trevor Johnson will appear at Old Chicago at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie tonight â Monday, December 13 from 6-7:00 p.m.
The players will interact with and sign autographs for restaurant patrons and fans in attendance.
The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL â The Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Rivermen host the archrival Toledo Storm on Friday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Carver Arena. It is a Finally Friday, presented by 99X and Insight Media. Fans are encouraged to bring a Sprite/Barq's Root Beer/Pibb Xtra can to the Carver Arena Box Office to receive a "Buy One, Get One Upper Bowl Ticket Free" offer. WWE "RAW" Superstar and St. Louis native Randy Orton will appear from 6:30-8:30 p.m., signing autographs for $5 each (includes an 8x10). The U.S. Marines will also host their annual "Toys for Tots" Holiday Drive. Fans are encouraged to bring a new toy for charity. The team will wear special Christmas-themed jerseys to be auctioned off after the game. Season ticket packages and group tickets for 2004-2005 are available by calling the Rivermen at 309.676.1040.
