Johnstown Chiefs News Release
The Johnstown Chiefs (8-5-8; 24 PTS; 4th North div.) are now in sole possession of fourth place in the North division after they went 1-0-1 last week. The Chiefs lost in a shootout at Reading Friday night and picked up an overtime win at Atlantic City Saturday night. The Chiefs will play their final three games this weekend before the Christmas holiday. The play a home and home series with Dayton beginning Friday night at the Nutter Center. Sunday afternoon they will host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. After this weekend, the Chiefs will have their longest break in the schedule this season as there will be eleven days between games (December 31st vs. Toledo).

GAME #20 (12/10/04) READING 4 - Johnstown 3 (SO) Courchesne Two Assists
Friday night the Johnstown Chiefs rallied from a two goal deficit and eventually lose in a shootout 4-3 Friday night at Reading. Brent Kelly and Shawn Mather each had a goal and an assist in the contest. Mike James scored the game tying goal in the third period. Chiefs goaltender David Currie made 32 saves in the contest.
GAME #21 (12/11/04) Johnstown 5 - Atlantic City 4 (OT) Desrochers Goal, Assist
The Johnstown Chiefs picked up their first road win of the year Saturday night when they defeated the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 5-4 in overtime at Boardwalk Hall. Shawn Mather scored the game winning goal, unassisted just sixteen seconds into overtime. Mike James, Matt Reid, Dennis Packard and Jean Desrochers also scored for the Chiefs. David Currie made 25 saves in the contest.

Friday night the Chiefs will take to the road and face the Dayton Bombers (9-12-0, 18 PTS; 7th North div.) for the fifth time this season. The Chiefs are 1-2-1 against the Bombers this season and 45-48-9 all-time. The Bombers are currently in seventh place and have lost two straight games.

Saturday night the Chiefs and the Bombers will play the back half of a home and home series at the War Memorial. The game will be the annual Johnstown Chiefs/Power 99.1/U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Toss. All fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed toy to the game and when they Chiefs score their first goal of the night, throw them onto the ice for collection!

Sunday afternoon the Chiefs will play the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies (14-5-4, 32 PTS; 1st North div.) for the third time this season. The Chiefs are 1-1-0 against Atlantic City this season and 9-9-2 all-time. Atlantic City currently sits in first place in the North division and are 6-1-3 in their last ten games. During the game Santa Clause will be in attendance and will be available for photographs.

- The Chiefs are 6 for 14 (42%) on the power play in their last three games.
- The Chiefs eight game road winless streak (0-4-4) was snapped with Saturday night's overtime win at Atlantic City.
