LAST WEEK: The Pride went 2-0-0 last week with a pair of shutout victories over Augusta and Louisiana. Pee Dee is 14-6-2 on the season for 30 points, and remains two points ahead of Charlotte for first place in the East Division. The Pride's 14 wins are tied with Atlantic City and Wheeling for the most in the ECHL.

Friday, December 10 @ Augusta PRIDE 3 Lynx 0

Chad Spurr's goal 4:20 into the contest was all the offense the Pride needed as they shutout the Lynx 3-0. Mark Mullen added a pair of goals, one in the first period and one in the third, to set the final. Nick Boucher stopped all 34 shots he faced, including a Todd Bennett penalty shot early in the second period, to record his second straight shutout on the road.

Saturday, December 11 v. Louisiana PRIDE 4 IceGators 0

Gregg Johnson, Allan Sirois and Jeff Szwez each tallied two points to help lead the Pride to a 4-0 victory over the IceGators. Jake Wiegand got the scoring started early, tallying his first goal of the season just 24 seconds into the contest, and the Pride rolled from there. Nick Boucher was once again strong between the pipes, turning aside all 25 Louisiana shots for his second straight shutout, and third of the season.

THIS WEEKS' GAMES

Friday, December 17 v. South Carolina 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den

The Pride and Stingrays meet for the fifth of 11 times this season. Pee Dee is 1-3-0 on the season against South Carolina, with the home team winning each of the first four games. The Stingrays have won three straight games entering the week, and for the season are 11-11-1 for 23 points, and are tied with Columbia and Greenville for third place in the East Division.

PROMOTIONS: The Pride will hold a food drive to benefit the Manna House. All fans are encouraged to bring canned-food items with them to the game to help out the less fortunate during the holiday season.

Saturday, December 18 @ Columbia 7:30 p.m. Coverage on WDAR Sunny 105.5 at 7:10

Pee Dee takes on Columbia for the third of 10 meetings on the season. The Pride are 1-1-0 against the Inferno this season. The home team has won via shutout in the first two games this season. Columbia has won three straight games, and is 10-6-3 for 23 points, tied with South Carolina and Greenville for third place in the East Division.

PRIDE IN THE COMMUNITY

Wednesday, December 15

The entire team will be at the Manna House from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. to aid in the daily operations. Players will be doing everything from serving food to cleaning up and stocking shelves.

PRIDE NOTES

- Four of the Pride's six regulation losses this season have come against this week's opponents. Three of the losses have been against South Carolina, while the Pride has dropped one game to Columbia.

- Nick Boucher has recorded shutouts in the last two road games, and his last two games overall. He has a road shutout streak of 161:39 and an overall shutout streak of 147:20. Boucher's three shutouts on the season are tied for second in the ECHL.

- The Pride's five shutouts as a team are the second most in team history. The team single-season record for shutouts is seven, set in the 1999-2000 season,

- Pee Dee is 10-0-1 this season when scoring the first goal in a game.

- With two assists in Saturday's win over Louisiana, Allan Sirois reached a pair of personal milestones. His first assist was the 500th point in his professional career, while his second helper was the 500th point in his ECHL career.

- Stephen Greeley has at least one assist in each of his three games since being activated off of the IR last Sunday.

- The Pride have had at least 33 shots on goal in each of their last eight games. Over that span, the Pride are averaging 38.5 shots per game.

HOCKEY TONIGHT SIGNS

The Pride's "Hockey Tonight" yard signs are back! If you need a new yard sign, you can pick one up at the Pride office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Customer Service Tables during home games. Remember to place your yard signs on game days. The Pride's next home game is Friday, December 17 against the South Carolina Stingrays.
