
Titans claim five of six points on road trip

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans started a five-game road trip going 2-0-1 over a three-game, three-day weekend. By claiming five out of a possible six points, Trenton climbed into a tie for second place with the Wheeling Nailers.
The Titans used a season-high, four second period goals en route to a 4-3 victory over the Toledo Storm on Friday night at Toledo Sports Arena. Trenton completed the sweep of Toledo with a 5-2 win on Saturday. The Titans finished their three-game, three-day set with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Nailers.
Trenton finishes its road trip with two games against the Dayton Bombers. The two teams face off on Tuesday, December 14 and Thursday, December 16. The Titans then travel back to Sovereign Bank Arena to host the Wheeling Nailers on Friday and the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.

Friday, December 10 @ Toledo, 7:30pm W 4-3 Toledo Sports Arena
- The Trenton Titans scored a season-high, four goals in the second period en route to a 4-3 over the Toledo Storm. Sam Paolini started the scoring with his fifth goal of the season when Shawn Collymore found him all alone at the far post at 3:58 of the first period. From there it was all Trenton Titans. Steve Cygan tied the score for the Titans with his second goal of the season 3:12 into the second period. Trenton would take a 2-1 lead just 2:05 later when Mathieu Brunelle converted a break away chance past Logan Koopmans. The Titans' power play would do the work for the rest of the period with Bryce Cockburn and Matt Zultek each tallying with the man advantage. Trenton's power play was 2-for-4 on the evening and has scored in their last four games. In the final period, Tyler Knight also lit the lamp on the power play and Sam Paolini tallied with the extra attacker to make the final score 4-3. Andrew Allen stopped 26 shots to raise record to 6-2-1 and 4-1-0 on the road. Koopmans turned away 24 in suffering the loss. B.J. Abel recorded two assists to extend his scoring streak to six games.
Saturday, December 11 @ Toledo, 7:30pm W 5-2 Toledo Sports Arena
- The Trenton Titans again used a strong second period to take a 5-2 win from the Toledo Storm. For the second consecutive night, the Titans found themselves down 1-0 early as Ty Hennes tallied his third of the season just :38 into the game. The Titans were able to tie the score 1-1 on a power play goal by Phil Lewandowski, but a shorthanded goal by Sam Paolini at 12:27 of the first period gave the Storm the one-goal lead once again. Following a similar script from last night, Trenton used two goals early in the second period to take the lead. Lewandowski notched his second goal of the evening and Brent Robinson lit the lamp 2:06 later to give the Titans the 3-2 edge. Rick Kowalsky put the game away with 3:58 remaining in the third period with his tenth goal of the season. Andrew Allen turned away 24 shots to raise his overall record to 7-2-1 and his road record to 5-1-0. The Titans' power play went 1-for-8 and has scored in the last five games. Trenton was perfect on the penalty kill going 6-for-6.
Sunday, December 12 @ Wheeling, 7:00pm OT-L 3-2 WesBanco Arena
- For the second time this season, the Trenton Titans fell in overtime to Wheeling Nailers 3-2. Ed McGrane gave the Wheeling Nailers a 1-0 lead when his wrist shot beat Chris Houle at 5:34 of the opening period. Trailing after one period for the third game in a row, the Titans tied it up at 14:05 of the second stanza when Brent Robinson put Matheiu Brunelle's rebound past Dany Sabourin. Andy Burnes would give Trenton their first lead :13 seconds into the third period with his first professional goal. Wheeling would come back to tie it 2-2 when Ben Eaves tallied the first goal of his pro career during a Nailers' two-man advantage. The two teams would skate to overtime, where Randy Perry's first goal of the season clinched the victory for that Nailers at :33 of the extra period. Houle made 28 saves on 31 shots as his record goes to 5-1-3.

- The second of nine meetings between the Storm and Titans this season. Last time out, Rick Kowalsky tied the score 3-3 with 14.3 seconds left en route to a 4-3 loss in the shootout.
Thursday, December 16 @ Dayton, 7:30pm 1350-AM Moneytalk Hobart Arena - Troy, OH
- Game three of nine for Trenton and Dayton. Tyler Kolarik has 7 goals, 6 assists and a +3 rating on home ice this season. Trenton leads the all-time series 16-5-2.
Friday, December 17 vs. Wheeling, 7:30pm 91.3-FM WTSR Sovereign Bank Arena
- The third contest out nine this year. The Titans have lost twice to the Nailers in overtime 3-2. Former Titan James Laux has three assists in games versus Trenton this year. Trenton leads the all-time series 9-7-3.
Saturday, December 18 vs. Atlantic City, 7:30pm 91.3-FM WTSR Sovereign Bank Arena
- The fourth contest out ten this year. Trenton trails the season series 1-2, being outscored 11-6 in the last two games. The Titans lead the all-time series 17-13-3.

· BJ Abel had his seven-game scoring streak (1g, 7a) halted on Sunday against Wheeling.

· Andrew Allen is 5-1-0 on the road with a 2.31 GAA and a .929 save percentage.
· Brent Robinson is tied for thirteenth in rookie scoring with 15 points (6g, 9a), has five points (2g, 3a) in his last three games and is on a five-game road scoring streak (3g, 5a).
· Andy Burnes scored the first goal of his pro career on Sunday at Wheeling.

In the Community:
December 17th - The Trenton Titans in association with St. Francis Medical Center will be holding their fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss and Toy Drive as they take on the Wheeling Nailers at the Sovereign Bank Arena. Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears to toss onto the ice during the second intermission and unwrapped toys to be collected at arena entrances. All items will be donated to Angel's Wings, CARES and Children's Futures in conjunction with St. Francis Medical Center.
December 18th - The Trenton Titans will be hosting their third annual "Time With A Titan" Auction immediately after their game against the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. Fans will be able to bid for the chance to take their favorite Titans to dinner at Triumph Brewery in New Hope, PA. Winning bids will also receive an authentic personalized Titans jersey along with a special gift. Proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children and The Butterfly Foundation.
