The Americans will play the Portland Winterhawks for the third time this season tonight at the Toyota Center.
Tri-City's lone home victory came against the Winterhawks on opening night in a shootout. The two teams also met once this season in Portland where they narrowly fell 4-3 after holding a 3-0 lead midway through the game. The Americans will look to replicate their past success against the Winterhawks and get back in the win column tonight.
Through two head-to-head games, Parker Bell leads series scoring with two goals and one assist against the Winterhawks. For Portland, Robbie Fromm-Delorme leads scoring against the Americans with one goal and two assists.
Dante Giannuzzi has played in net both games for Portland. He has averaged 3.36 goals against and a .851 save percentage.
Talyn Boyko, who was recently traded to the Kelowna Rockets, played in net both games for the Americans.

The Ams most recently played last night in Everett where they faced off against the red hot Silvertips for the first time this season. Tri-City struggled to find their offensive stride as they were shutout 6-0 by Everett, who has yet to lose a game in regulation this season.
Nick Avakyan played his second straight game in net after making his WHL debut last weekend. The 17-year-old netminder from California stopped 39 of 45 shots faced.
After tonight, the Americans will be on the road for the next three games as they head to British Columbia to play Prince George and then play the Winterhawks in Portland.
