
Pats End Six Game Homestand against Lethbridge

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats (6-9-0) finish off their six game homestand tonight at the Brandt Centre against the Lethbridge Hurricanes (5-9-0) at 7:00 p.m.
The Pats are coming off a 6-3 loss to the Central Division's first place Edmonton Oil Kings (11-3-3) on Saturday night. Connor Bedard scored twice for his third multi-goal game of the year, while Zane Rowan scored his first WHL goal to open the scoring in the first. Tanner Howe recorded an assist as well, extending his point-streak to five straight games. Final shots were 34-26 for the Oil Kings, as the Pats are outshot for the first time in seven contests (since Oct. 16 at WPG). The Pats streak of five straight games with a power play goal came to an end Saturday, going 0-for-3 on the man advantage. Their penalty kill also gave up a power play goal for the first time in three games.
On the other side, the Lethbridge Hurricanes are coming off a 5-2 loss in Brandon against the Wheat Kings on Thursday afternoon for their sixth straight loss. The Hurricanes play the fourth game of their five game road trip tonight, which then ends tomorrow in Moose Jaw. They've suffered losses to Brandon (5-2), Winnipeg (5-1) and Swift Current (7-2) during the trip, while heir last win came on October 29th against Saskatoon (W, 4-3).

Last season, the Regina Pats did not play the Lethbridge Hurricanes as they were not in the Hub Centre. The last time these two teams met was on January 24th at the Brandt Centre, with the Hurricanes beating the Pats 7-2. The Pats went 0-4 in the 2019-20 season series, outscored 18-to-8 in the season series...the Pats have lost five straight contests against the Hurricanes and are 1-7-0 vs. Lethbridge since the 2018-19 season.

The Pats have lost their last two games since their four game winning-streak, losing to Red Deer 3-2 on Wednesday and 6-3 on Saturday to Edmonton...the Pats scored first in both games, but have lost the lead in both games, marking the first time this season that the Pats have lost back-to-back games in which they had the lead in.

84: Shots on goal for Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard leads the WHL...the Vancouver native is averaging 5.60 shots on net per contest this season along with eight goals and 12 points in 15 games...he scored two goals last night, snapping his three game pointless/goalless streak.
215: Faceoff wins for Pats captain Logan Nijhoff is tied for the highest total in the WHL with Prince Albert's Reece Vitelli (215)...he went 18-30 on the faceoff dot on Saturday against Edmonton and holds 55.1 faceoff win percentage this season.

The Regina Pats end their six game homestand tonight, as the Pats host Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Pats then head on a six game road trip with the first stop in Moose Jaw before heading to Alberta for contests in Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Calgary and later Prince Albert. The Pats are back home on Saturday, December 4th against Swift Current.
