August 19, 2025 - CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has reached an agreement on a new contract with three-time All-Star defender, Jakob Glesnes. Under the new contract, the 31-year-old Norwegian center back is guaranteed through 2027 with an option for 2028.

August 18, 2025 - CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has loaned goalkeeper Oliver Semmle to USL Championship side North Carolina FC for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Semmle signed with the Union on Jan. 31, 2024, making his club debut on Feb. 24, 2024, against Chicago Fire FC. In 17 appearances (15 starts) with Philadelphia, he has recorded 15 saves, posted a 64.6 save percentage, and registered four clean sheets.

August 16, 2025 - CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union traveled to Sports Illustrated Stadium to play the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night, falling. After a scoreless first half, New York's Dylan Nealis scored the game's only goal in the 74th minute. The Union outshot the Red Bulls 11-8.
The Union will return home to Subaru Park to face Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, August 23rd (7:30 p.m. ET/ Apple TV).

August 14, 2025 - CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union defeated the New York Red Bulls in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals on Wednesday night at Subaru Park. The Red Bulls opened up the scoring early with a goal from midfielder Wikelman Carmona in the 8th minute. The Union quickly retaliated in the 13th minute with the equalizer from forward Tai Baribo, assisted by defender Kai Wagner.
