Thunderbolts Rally to Sweep Storm, Clinch Playoff Spot

SPHL Evansville Thunderbolts March 22, 2026 - Moline, Ill.: Down 1-0 after the first period, the Thunderbolts rallied to score five-unanswered goals in the second and third periods to defeat Quad City 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at Vibrant Arena, moving back into a tie for second place and clinching their return to the President's Cup Playoffs. SPHL Knoxville Ice Bears March 22, 2026 - Ryan Kuzmich scored his second hat trick of the season en route to a four-point night, Logan Flodell made 31 saves and the Knoxville Ice Bears defeated the Fayetteville Marksmen 4-1 at Crown Coliseum in North Carolina Sunday afternoon. Doney Moved to Season Ending IR

SPHL Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs March 22, 2026 - ROANOKE, Va. - The Rail Yard Dawgs announced Sunday that Cory Doney has been moved to season-ending injured reserve for the remainder of the 2025-2026 season. Doney appeared in 16 games for Roanoke this season with three points. The defenseman was also on the team's roster in 2024-2025 where he notched four points in the 32 games played. Rivermen Clinch First Place After 4-1 Win in Knoxville

SPHL Peoria Rivermen March 21, 2026 - KNOXVILLE, TN - The Peoria Rivermen (26-16-1) clinched first place in the SPHL and the William B. Coffey Trophy by defeating the Knoxville Ice Bears (25-24-4) 4-1 at Knoxville Civic Coliseum on Saturday. Jack Bostedt made 31 saves, while Jordan Ernst, Trenten Heyde, Braydon Barker, and Griffen Fox scored for Peoria.
