
Wranglers wrap up season by hosting Aces in final three games

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 2-1-0 record for the week starting with a 4-2 loss to Fresno at home on Tuesday night. Friday night, the Wranglers beat Victoria 4-1 at the Orleans Arena. Saturday night, Las Vegas was victorious over Bakersfield 2-1.
The Wranglers conclude their season with a three-game home stand against Alaska on April 5th, 8th, and 9th at 7:05 pm. On Friday April 8th, the Wranglers will hand out 1,500 six-pack coolers sponsored by KOMP 92.3 FM. On Saturday April 9th, every fan through the door will receive a Wranglers team poster sponsored by KVBC-TV 3. Fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm in the parking lot of the Orleans Arena.

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Fresno Falcons 4-2 on Tuesday night in front of 3,618 fans at the Orleans Arena. Defenseman Deryk Engelland and right wing Nick Anderson each scored for the Wranglers in the loss. Falcons' goaltender Jamie Hodson made 28 saves to pick up his 17th win of the season. Forward Terry Marchant and defenseman Charles Simard each had two points in the Falcons victory.

Victoria 1 at Las Vegas 4
Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Victoria Salmon Kings 4-1 on Friday night at the Orleans Arena in front of 4,938. Forwards Dan Tudin and Shawn Limpright each scored a goal and added an assist as Las Vegas improved to 8-0-0 against Victoria this season. Goalie Colin Zulianello made 20 saves for the victory in his Wranglers debut. Defenseman Deryk Engelland and forward Darren Lynch also scored in the win.

Bakersfield 1 at Las Vegas 2
Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Bakersfield Condors 2-1 on Saturday night in front of 7,007 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' center Matt Dzieduszycki scored both Wranglers goals in the victory. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 26 saves for his 16th win of the season, Magliarditi also assisted on the game-winning goal. The Condors lost goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji just 2:19 into the first period. The Condors' back-up goaltender Davis Parley came in and made 41 saves on 43 shots in the loss.
Wranglers Roster Shuffle
The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Thursday the signing of forward Mike Lalonde. The 24-year old joined the Wranglers for the final five games of the season after concluding a four-year career at Michigan State University. In 156 collegiate games, Lalonde scored 50 goals and assisted on 52 more for 102 points. His best season at MSU came in 2003-04 when the 5-foot-11, 190-pound forward scored 22 goals and added 18 assists for 40 points in 42 games played. Lalonde made his professional debut with Las Vegas Friday night.
WRANGLERS HONORED BY REVIEW JOURNAL
AS BEST SPORTS TEAM IN TOWN
The Las Vegas Wranglers were named by the Las Vegas Review-Journal Newspaper as the Best Sports Team in Town, as voted by the staff.
In only their second year of existence, the Wranglers have won the award two consecutive years. The RJ stated, "They are easy to love, plus a fan-friendly arena to call home and rowdy opponents to visit". The RJ added. "How could we resist the team with the sassiest ad campaign around, "Loosest Teeth in Town", "Forearm Shiver Giveaways". Give us a sense of humor and we are there every time".
The Wranglers also tied with UNLV Rebels Men's Basketball as the Best Sports Team in Town in the reader's online voting.

Alaska Aces â (43-18-8, 94 Points) â The Wranglers are 2-3-1 against the Aces this season. Alaska already clinched a playoff spot and is looking to wrap up the West division title, needing four points to garauntee the top spot. .The Aces come to Las Vegas with former Wranglers defenseman Ryan Guacher, who will play his first game against his former team since the March 21st trade. Alaska features the ECHL's leading scorer in former NHLer Scott Gomez. Gomez has 69 assists and 81 points in 59 games played.
