Ice Pilots Win Brabham Cup Championship go 3-1-0 this past week. The Ice Pilots won their first ever ECHL regular season championship and won their first ever Brabham Cup as they clinched the regular season title with a 7-4 win at home on Saturday night. The Ice Pilots started the week with a 5-3 loss vs. Louisiana. Chris St. Jacques, Corey Neilson and Cory Stillman scored goals for the Ice Pilots. The Ice Pilots outshot Louisiana 59-20 in the game. Frederic Cloutier was the losing goalie.
The Ice Pilots won in overtime at home on Friday night vs. Texas 6-5. Chris St. Jacques and Corey Neilson each scored two goals each with Neilson scoring the game winner in overtime. Mark Rooneem and Jordan Krestanovich also scored goals for the Ice Pilots. The Ice Pilots had 53 shots on goal and went 2-6 on the power play. Todd Ford was the winning goalie.
The Ice Pilots won the Brabham Cup Championship on Saturday night with a 7-4 win vs. Mississippi. Corey Neilson scored a hat trick in the game and Jordan Krestanovich scored two goals. Nick Lindberg and Cam Keith also scored goals. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie as the Ice Pilots out shot Mississippi 32-30 and went 2-5 on the power play.
The Ice Pilots won 5-2 at Texas on Sunday. Dwayne Hay, Tyson Marsh, Cam Keith, Dominic D'Amour and Aaron Phillips scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Texas out shot the Ice Pilots 37-34. The Ice Pilots went 0-3 on the power play. Todd Ford was the winning goalie.
The Ice Pilots go into the final weekend of the regular with a record of 49-16-5 for 103 points and Brabham Cup Champions.
Brabham Cup to be presented to Ice Pilots at Saturday's Game and 1,000 commemorative Brabham Cup Championship t-shirts to be sold only at Saturday's Game vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m.: The Brabham Cup will be presented to the Ice Pilots at t he last home game of the regular season this Saturday vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. The Brabham Cup will be on display at the civic center for the fans. Fans can get their picture taken with the Brabham Cup by bringing their own camera. Commemorative Brabham Cup Championship t-shirts with the players names on the back of the t-shirts will be sold at the game. It is a one time special as only 1,000 t-shirts will be made. Fans will be able to get the t-shirts autographed by the entire team as a post game autograph session with the team will take place. A jersey auction will also take place after the game on the Ice Pilots home and away jerseys. Fans will be able to receive the jerseys once the Kelly Cup Playoffs are over. Also at Saturday's home game, all Ice Pilots merchandise will be 40 percent discount at Saturday night's game only which will not include the Brabham Cup Championship t-shirts. All Fans attending the game on Saturday will receive a voucher for a free year subscription to the Sporting News Magazine. The Florida Lottery will also have their grand prize winner spin off for $2,500.
The Ice Pilots will play at Mississippi on Friday at 7:35 p.m. and play home on Saturday to Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. in the final two games for the regular season. The Ice Pilots have a record of 7-2-1 vs. Mississippi this season including a record of 4-1-0 on the road and 3-1-1 at home. The Ice Pilots have an all-time regular season record of 31-38-11 vs. Mississippi including a record of 17-17-6 at home and 14-21-5 on the road.
First Two Home Kelly Cup Playoff Home Games are Thursday, April 14th and Friday, April 15th with both games beginning at 7:05 p.m. Individual game playoff tickets are on sale for the first two home Kelly Cup Playoff games. Home Game A is Thursday, April 14th and Home Game B is Friday, April 15th. Cost of individual home playoff tickets are $24 for glass seats, $17 for side seats, $15 for goals and lower upper seats and $12 for upper level seats, plus any applicable convenient charge.

Fans who bought Kelly Playoff strip tickets for all 14 home Ice Pilots playoff games can pick up their playoff tickets at the Ice Pilots office beginning Tuesday, April 5th or at the customer service table behind section 107 at the Ice Pilots last regular season home game vs. Mississippi on April 9th at 7:05 p.m.
New Plan offer for 2005-2006 Season Tickets: The Early Bird Renewal for season tickets is over however Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr was very pleased with the response and there is a new plan offer which will last as long as the Ice Pilots are playing hockey through out the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Fans can put down a $50 deposit and will not have to pay the rest of the balance until September 1st. The Ice Pilots will hold a Season Ticker Holder Year End Get Together and Playoff Rally this Sunday: The Ice Pilots will hold a season ticket holder year end get together and playoff rally this Sunday, April 10th at the Civic Center from 1 p.m. 3 p.m. Season ticket holders will be able to enjoy a barbecued lunch, free ice skating, locker room tours and fun for all. Complimentary skate rentals will be provided or bring your own skates. The first 500 season ticket holders also receive a free rally rag.
Tentative Practice Schedule: There will be no practice Monday as the players have the day off. The Ice Pilots will practice Tuesday at the Civic Center at 9 a.m. and will practice Wednesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate on Friday at 10 a.m. and play at Mississippi on Friday night at 7:35 p.m. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate on Saturday at 10 a.m. and will play home to Missi ssippi on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
Leading Scorers: Aaron Phillips is the top scorer on the Ice Pilots with 67 points and leads the team with 52 assists. Jordan Krestanovich and tied with Tyler Beechey for second in scoring with 66 points. Beechey is playing St. John's of the AHL. Beechey is first in goals on the team with 27 and Krestanovich is second with 26. Corey Neilson is the top scoring defenseman in the league with 61 points. Frederic Cloutier is second in the league with 30 wins and has a record of 30-12-3 with a 2.39 goals against average and .927 save percentage.
Dodge Player of the Week: Defenseman Corey Nielson has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week. Neilson scored 6 goals this past week including two game winning goals and a hat trick and also picked up one assist for 7 points. Todd Ford has been nominated for Goalie of the Week. Ford was 2-0 this week with two wins vs. Texas. Neilson has been named the Dodge Player of the Week.
Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots top scorer. Fans will have an update on the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed top scorer in the weekly release and at www.icepilots.com. Aaron Phillips is first with 67 points. Jordan Krestanovich is tied for second with Tyler Beechey with 66 points.
GEICO Three Stars of the Game: GEICO will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots Three Stars of the Game once again on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network this season and at every home game. Three lucky fans at home games will receive a t-shirt from the GEICO Three Stars of the Game this season. Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have nine players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are goalie Todd Ford, forward Scott May, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury, defenseman Tyson Marsh, center Cory Stillman, forward Robb Palahnuk and left wing Cam Keith. Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. Listen to games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with the new Ice Pilots Flagship radio home AM 1620: Fans can listen to Ice Pilots games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network. The network includes new flagship radio station AM 1620, Cox Communications and at icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. The game will also be taped delayed by Leafs TV. Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.
Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. meet the players, head coach Dave Farrish and members of the Ice Pilots office
staff all season long. Corey Neilson and Dominic D'Amour will be the player guests
tonight on the show. Todd Ford and Cory Stillman will be the player guests on April
11 which will be the last show of the regular season. We may or may not have one
more show when the Kelly Cup Playoffs are over depending on the schedule.
