Wranglers Win In Overtime 3-2

Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas Wranglers (17-14-4, 38 points) defeated the Victoria Salmon Kings (7-21-4, 18 points) 3-2 in overtime Friday night in front of 4,962 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' Forward Jeff Attard scored the last two goals of the game including the game-winning goal 1:21 into overtime. Las Vegas winger Shawn Limpright added his first goal as a member of the Wranglers. Goalie Sebastien Centomo won his fourth straight start with 26 saves, improving to 10-5-2 on the season. The Wranglers head to Bakersfield on Saturday night at 7:00 pm.

In the first period, Victoria's Nathan Forster and Ryan Finnerty each scored to give the Salmon Kings a 2-0 after one period of play.

The Wranglers cut the lead to 2-1 with 8:15 left in the third period when Shawn Limpright tallied his first goal as a Wrangler. Rookie center Chris Stanley got the puck in over the Victoria blue-line for Limpright who snapped the puck past Salmon Kings goalie Kelly Shields. With goalie Sebastien Centomo pulled for the extra attacker, Jeff Attard scored his 10th of the season to tie the game at two. Stanley got behind the Victoria net and centered out front for Attard who tipped in the shot sending the game to overtime.

In overtime, Attard picked up a loose puck at center ice and skated in alone on a breakaway. Attard stick-handled the puck past Shields for the game-winning goal just 1:21 into overtime.

The Wranglers return home on Saturday, January 29th at 7:05 pm to host the Salmon Kings again.
