Late Goal Propels Storm To A 2-1 Victory At The Nutter Center

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers suffered a 2-1 loss to the Toledo Storm in front of 5,290 at the Nutter Center Friday night. Fans were also entertained by world-class NASCAR driver STERLING MARLIN and the Christian band, Tidal Wave, on Church Night.

With 2:26 remaining in the first period, Nick Parillo scored on a rebound giving the Storm a 1-0 lead. There was no scoring in period two.

The Bombers tied the game, 1-1, when MATT HERNEISEN snapped Storm goaltender Scott Fankhouser's shutout bid at 13:07 of the third period. Following a 5-on-3 Bombers powerplay opportunity late in the third, Doug Andress jumped out of the penalty box and scored the game-winning goal with just 57 seconds left in regulation. The Storm are now 5-0-0 against the Bombers this season.

The Bombers return to action tomorrow (Saturday) night when they host the Wheeling Nailers Audio coverage at daytonbombers.com begins at 7:00 PM.
