Wranglers reveal 2006-07 season schedule

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the 2006-07 ECHL season schedule.

The Las Vegas Wranglers will open their fourth season in the ECHL on Friday, October 20th in Fresno against the Falcons at 7:35 pm. After two games in Fresno, the Wranglers return to the Orleans Arena to host the Phoenix Roadrunners for the home opener on Tuesday, October 24th at 7:05 pm. The final game of the season is set for Saturday, April 7th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena against the Stockton Thunder.

The Wranglers also announced the fourth annual "Midnight Holiday Roundup" returns on Monday, December 18th against the Bakersfield Condors with a unique Midnight start time. The Wranglers became the first professional hockey team to play a home game at midnight on December 22nd, 2003, beating the Bakersfield Condors 3-2 in sudden death overtime.

Las Vegas plays 36 home games and 36 away games as part of the team's 72-game schedule. The Wranglers face the Idaho Steelheads more than any other team with ten games in 2006-07. Las Vegas welcomes Idaho to the Orleans Arena on January 26th and 27th, as well as on February 27th and March 6th. The Wranglers will meet the Alaska Aces in Anchorage for a three-game set with the defending Kelly Cup Champions in November. The Aces come to Las Vegas on February 13th, as well as March 30th and 31st. The Wranglers meet the Phoenix Roadrunners nine times this season with four games in Las Vegas and five in Phoenix.

Las Vegas welcomes the Toledo Storm from the Northern Division for a three-game set on February 2nd, 3rd and 6th. After a one-year absence due to Hurricane Rita, the Texas Wildcatters resume playing in the ECHL and Las Vegas hosts Texas on March 9th and 10th.

The Wranglers play 17 of their first 22 games on the road, including an eight-game road trip from November 10th - 22nd. The team plays 14 of their last 19 games of the season at the Orleans Arena. The longest home stand of the season falls over a seven-game stretch from December 15th - 29th.

Las Vegas will host the team's first ever New Year's Day game on Monday, January 1st. The game time has yet to be determined and will be announced in the near future. The Wranglers promotional schedule will be revealed at a later date.

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
