
Bombers announce 2006-2007 regular season schedule

Dayton, OH-The Dayton Bombers and the ECHL announced the 2006-2007 regular season schedule Monday. The Bombers will open on the road at Toledo against the Storm on Friday night October 20, and play their home opener against the Florida Everblades Saturday, November 4, at the E.J. Nutter Center at 7:00 PM.
The Bombers schedule features 36 home and 36 away games, spanning 161 days and concludes with an April 7 game against the Toledo Storm at the E.J. Nutter Center. The club will play 54 of its 72 games on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, including 26 of its 36 home games (Friday-9, Saturday-12, Sunday-5). All home games are scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM, except for Sunday games, which will begin at 5:00 PM.
The ECHL schedule for 2006-2007 features a continued emphasis on division rivalries. The Bombers will play Toledo and Cincinnati (their two closest opponents in proximity) 12 times (6 home, 6 away), Johnstown and Reading 10 times (5 home, 5 away) and Trenton and Wheeling 11 times (5 home, 6 away). The Bombers non-conference home schedule includes opponents such as the Florida Everblades (Opening night, Saturday November 4), the defending American Conference Champion Gwinnett Gladiators (Friday, December 1), the Augusta Lynx (Tuesday, January 30) and the Columbia Inferno (Sunday, February 18). The Bombers will make their longest road trip down South during 2006-2007 to play the Columbia Inferno on February 9 and the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday, February 10.
