Wheeling Nailers News Release

The Nailers will open up on the road Friday October 20th in Charlotte, taking on the Checkers to begin the '06-'07 campaign for the ever elusive Kelly Cup.

The opening weekend at home will be one week later on the 27th when the 15th year of hockey begins in Wheeling, as the Nailers return home to play longtime rival Johnstown. The Nailers also welcome Dayton for a Saturday affair on the 28th.

On Friday the 27th, fans will receive "thunder sticks" and magnet schedules. They will also receive free t-shirts on Saturday the 28th.

Other promotions this season include a limited edition puck give away for three home games, a kids lunchbox give away and "faith" night.

The Nailers will play each divisional opponent a total of 12 times-six home and six on the road. They will also play Charlotte twice, Gwinnett twice and Augusta once.

"We're really excited about this upcoming season," Nailers President Rob Brooks said. "We want to build on last year-not just the level of play, but fan support as well."

Full, half and ten-game season ticket packages are now available. This season, the Nailers are also offering new packages including the "Affordable 4-pack," the "Saturday Super Saver" and the "Bobble Head" pack.

The "Affordable 4-pack" consists of four games of the purchaser's choice and the "Saturday Super Saver" includes eight Saturday games for the price of seven.

The "Bobble Head" pack is a five-game plan that includes all five games at which bobble head dolls will be given away, guaranteeing the hard to come by collectibles for those who purchase the plan. The bobble heads are scheduled to be given away on November 25, December 16, January 13, February 24 and March 17.

Season tickets and a printable version of the schedule are available on WheelingNailers.com or by calling (304) 234-4625.
