BUFFALO, N.Y. - Four different players drove home a run in a series-opening win for the Worcester Red Sox (50-46) over the Buffalo Bisons (56-37), a 4-2 final score at Sahlen Field on Tuesday night.

Jarren Duran, playing in his first game with the WooSox since July 13, announced his return from Boston in the third inning. The 24-year-old came to the plate with two men on and doubled the opposite way down the left field line, scoring Johan Mieses. Duran's hit gave him 33 RBI in 24 Triple-A games this season.

After a groundout, Franchy Cordero grounded a ball to first that scored Delino DeShields, putting Worcester up 2-0 early on.

Two innings later, the WooSox again plated a pair of runs, a threat than began with a DeShields triple and a Duran walk. Yairo Muñoz came up and cracked a sac-fly to bring home DeShields, and after a Cordero single and a popout, Connor Wong delivered an RBI single to left that made it 4-0.

Buffalo got both of those runs back in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Tyler White came to the plate with two on and one out against Worcester starter Raynel Espinal. White singled to left, scoring one and moving Otto Lopez to third, and the next batter, Danny Jansen, got Lopez to the plate with a sac-fly.

Espinal exited after five, allowing only those two runs and striking out four. The right-hander ultimately grabbed his ninth win of the season, moving him back in to sole possession of the Triple-A East lead in victories.

Stephen Gonsalves followed Espinal out of the pen, making his fourth straight relief appearance. The left-hander put up two runless innings, struck out two and walked three. Zack Kelly added a scoreless eighth, and Kaleb Ort did the same in the ninth for his 14th save, extending his own Triple-A East lead.

After a 2-0 win on Saturday, Worcester pitching has not allowed an earned run over its last 19 innings.

The WooSox continue the six-game series Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. against the Buffalo Bisons, the team's first and only road trip to Sahlen Field. Radio coverage starts live at 6:45 p.m. on 98.9 Nash Icon and the WooSox Radio Network. Worcester's Kyle Hart (4-7, 4.56) faces Bowden Francis (7-3, 3.77).
