NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays announced that Stephen Werner will join Josh Heller and Jared Bednar tonight as the guest on this week's Coach's Show at Bobby Hartin's Sports Grill. The Coach's show airs live every Monday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on ESPN Radio 910 the Team, and through the Stingrays website at www.stingrayshockey.com.
Werner returned for a second season in the Lowcountry this year after playing 26 games with the Stingrays last season, producing 17 points (10g, 7a). The winger also suited up for 26 contests with the Hershey Bears, recording three goals and three assists for six points. He was originally the Capitals' 3rd round choice (88th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, and signed with the organization following the conclusion of his senior season at UMASS-Amherst. This season, Werner has 18 points (6g-12a) in 22 games.
