SALMON KINGS HEADLINES: The Salmon Kings concluded their three games in three days California road trip versus the Fresno Falcons on Sunday. Victoria got on the board first when Ryan Wade blasted a point shot past Falcons goaltender Jake Moreland. With less than four minutes remaining rookie Dylan Yeo blasted a point shot past Moreland giving the Kings a 2-0 lead after one period of play. The second period began with a hectic pace, and it was Fresno who was the first to capitalize. Oren Eizenman scored for the Falcons beating the Kings' Billy Thompson 1:48 into the period. The Falcons would tie it up 2-2 a few minutes later when Jarrett Konkle scored. The Kings would retake the lead when Paul Ballantyne blasted a shot past Moreland. Before the period would end, on a 5-3 power play, John Morlang snapped a shot past the glove hand of Thompson to send the teams to the locker rooms tied 3-3 after 40 minutes. The Kings came out on a mission in the third period. It began when Marc-Andre Bernier swatted the puck in the net as it bounced in the crease after a Dylan Yeo shot for the 4-3 lead five minutes into the period.
